Association of Charitable Foundations (UK)

The Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) is the UK wide support organisation for grant-making trusts and foundations of all types.

ACF's mission is to support the work of independent charitable trusts and foundations in the UK by:

  • Influencing the law and public policy affecting grant-making charities, and providing relevant information to the membership
  • Enabling trusts and foundations to learn from each other’s experience, to discuss matters of common concern, to confer with funders from other sectors, and to achieve good practice in grant-making
  • Encouraging philanthropy and promoting the development of new grant-making foundations
  • Improving the understanding of trusts and foundations among grant-seekers and the general public

ACF's current membership stands at over 300 trusts and foundations.
