The Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) is an independent organisation committed to improving the learning outcomes and life chances of young people. To effectively deliver on this commitment, FYA undertakes research, delivers education initiatives, invests in individuals and youth-led organisations, and advocates on the issues that matter to young people.

Above all, we support and empower young Australians to become successful learners and creative, active and valued citizens. Our long-term vision is for an Australia where all young people achieve their full potential and are valued by all.

Our work is guided by our belief in:

Equal Access: we need to ensure opportunities are attainable for all young people, regardless of cultural, racial, social or economic background.

Working Together: together we all have the responsibility to find impactful solutions to issues that are important to young people.

Being Courageous: whether an idea is new or old, we have the courage to push the boundaries and learn from the experience.

High Impact: we want to create outcomes for young people that make a difference on a large scale, both socially and systemically.
