Lady Southey AC is a Director of The Myer Foundation and Patron of Philanthropy Australia (in conjunction with Sir Gus Nossal).

Lady Southey is the youngest child of Sidney Myer and Merlyn Bailieu Myer. She was born in San Francisco, California.

Lady Southey was President of The Myer Foundation from 1995-2000 and President of Philanthropy Australia from 2000-2007. She is President of the St Catherine's School Foundation, a supported and Honorary Life Member of the Australian Ballet, Life Member of the Nuffield Farming Scholars Association, and a supporter of Birds Australia.
