Aged Care Overview

Aged Care is a term referring to the care of the elderly who require assistance attending to their daily needs. Roughly 25% of Australians aged over 70 makes some use of aged care services.

Most older people use care services provided to them while they remain in their own home. This is called community care. Around 10% of older people are no longer living in their own home but are being cared for in a residential care facility.
