Sydney Community Foundation Feasibility Study
From PhilanthropyWiki
|
This feasibility study grew out of the proposal to establish a community foundation for the Greater Sydney region, which was nurtured by the private, public and voluntary sectors coming together over many months. In December 2002 a cross-sectoral round table agreed that a feasibility study was needed to understand more about the environment and the vital elements which might make a Sydney community foundation a success.
This feasibility study reviews the impact of some international foundations, maps the social fabric and philanthropic environment of Sydney, recommends options for the future and sets out the next steps recommended to progress the venture.
The Sydney Community Foundation was launched on May 24, 2004.
