|
This is a practical and detailed guide to the due diligence aspects of assessing an application for funding. It is not intended as a tool to ensure highly strategic philanthropy, but provides steps to thoroughly examining the strengths and weaknesses of the applicant organisation.
The tool includes the following components:
- Proposal and Document Review
- Conversation with the Applicant
- Applying Your Due Diligence Findings
Worksheets which can be customised are included. It is important to note that this is a US-based guide and that the section on Legal Compliance will not be of use for Australian foundations.
