This speech was written for the Philanthropy New Zealand 2007 Funders' Forum by Fiona Ellis, Director of the Northern Rock Foundation based in the UK. Fiona Ellis describes the Northern Rock Foundation's strategy in deealing with issues which come with working within a limited geographical space.
